As someone who recently navigated this journey myself, I discovered a wide range of fulfilling career options that I had never considered before landing in SEO and Digital Marketing. Through hands-on experience and informational interviews with professionals in my desired fields, I was able to gain valuable insights and make informed decisions. In order to support After Your PhD , I am offering paid career consulting services for academics/working professionals looking to transition from academia or need general career consulting and advising services. The rate is $35 for 30 minutes and $60 for an hour. I will meet with you one-on-one over Zoom to discuss actionable steps for career exploration, interview prep, resume writing, and creative job searching tips.

Why Offer Paid Consulting?

• By offering paid services, I’ll be able to avoid burnout. As a full-time worker and parent of three children, I’m committed to helping as many people as possible, but doing it for free could take a toll on my energy levels and overall well-being.
• There are financial reasons behind my decision to offer paid services, including student loan repayments and the costs associated with running a website.
• Offering paid consulting sessions will incentivize people to attend and participate in a meaningful way.
• Paid services will also enhance the user experience by eliminating ads and reducing the amount of text related to crowdfunding support, freeing up more space on the website for valuable content.

That being said, I can make exceptions when needed if folks can’t afford my fees.
